But, like everything, these serpentine belts also have some negative property about them. When these belts do break up, the vehicle does not have any power provided to the engine parts that are driven by the belt. The driver can have some problem. But these belts often wear away slowly and thus indicating about its replacement. This indication is usually a strikingly great and immense noise or a humming sound. Therefore, the vehicle owner could easily realize the need for the belt to be changed.
